Now you know why shelters and rescue groups always charge "adoption fees" for pets, and why you are screened so carefully. "Free" is all too often seen as "worthless" in the eye of the beholder! Please, don’t offer your pets FREE to a good home unless you just don’t care what happens to them. If you must give up your pet please contact a rescue group or your local shelter for advice and assistance. Volunteers who work endless hours to save pets from the horrors of abuse, neglect, and homelessness bring this message to you so you will think twice when giving up a pet !
